The challenge of developing hand painted designs on fabric and the scope of wax resist techniques offered by Batik have resulted in my current work. I develop each piece from life (if the subject is transportable to my studio), sketches and photographs. A  purpose built garden studio allows me the peace and tranquillity to create my designs.

The Batiks in the online catalog show a selection of my work some of which are for sale. Each piece, worked on fine cotton fabric’ involves several applications of wax and dye and takes many hours of work.  The result  - a stunning vibrant wall decoration
